Many of us in the workplace are confused or unclear about what constitutes sexual harassment. It is sometimes difficult to define and recognize. And, unfortunately, sexual harassment is often so commonplace that often we don’t even recognize harassing behavior as wrong.
But the fact is, sexual harassment in any form is unacceptable – it should not be tolerated by anyone. We all have the right to feel safe in the work environment and to not have to worry about being harassed. As a supervisor, your obligation to prevent and report sexual harassment or abusive conduct so the workplace is pleasant and respectful for everyone is a duty you must understand.
